1. The Essential Tools: What You Need
You don’t need professional equipment. In fact, your smartphone is perfect. The goal is clarity and accuracy.
Your Camera
Use your phone's main rear camera, not the front-facing selfie camera. The rear camera typically has a higher resolution and less distortion, which is crucial for me to see fine details like hair strokes and skin texture.
Lighting is Everything
Natural, indirect daylight is the gold standard. Stand facing a large window, but not in direct sunlight, which creates harsh shadows. If taking photos at night, use multiple light sources in front of you (like room lamps) to avoid shadows cast by your brow bone. Avoid overhead lights and the flash on your camera.
PRO TIP: Please ensure your brows are completely clean and free of all makeup, including brow pencil, powder, and concealer. I need to see your natural hair and skin. If you typically get your brows shaped, please take photos before your next wax or thread appointment.
2. The Three Must-Have Photo Angles
To get a complete picture, I need three specific angles. Please take these photos with your hair pulled completely back from your face.
The Straight-On Front View
Look directly into the camera with a neutral, relaxed expression. Do not raise your eyebrows. This shows your overall facial symmetry and how your brows frame your eyes. Take this photo from the collarbone up.
The Forehead Close-Up
This is the most important photo. Get close enough so that your brows fill most of the frame, from the inner corner of one eye to the outer corner of the other. Ensure both brows are in focus. This allows me to analyze hair direction, density, and any sparse areas.
The Profile View
Take a photo of each side of your face. Turn your head 90 degrees to the left for the right brow, and 90 degrees to the right for the left brow. This shows me the arch height, tail length, and how your brows follow your orbital bone structure.

Hold your phone steady or prop it against something. Tap on your brow area on the screen to ensure your phone focuses there, not on your hair or background.

Facial Expressions

자연스럽고 간접적인 낮 시간의 햇빛이 가장 좋습니다. 큰 창문을 등지고 서되, 직사광선은 피해주세요. 직사광선은 강한 그림자를 만듭니다. 밤에 사진을 찍어야 한다면, 눈썹 뼈에 그림자가 지지 않도록 여러 개의 광원(예: 방 조명)을 앞에 두고 사용하세요. 머리 위 조명이나 카메라 플래시는 피해주세요.
PRO TIP: 눈썹은 완전히 깨끗하고, 눈썹 펜슬, 파우더, 컨실러 등 모든 메이크업이 없는 상태여야 합니다. 저는 고객님의 자연스러운 털과 피부를 봐야 합니다. 평소 눈썹 왁싱이나 스레딩을 하신다면, 다음 시술 전에 사진을 찍어주세요.
