The answer is our non-negotiable 10-Minute Room Reset. This is the strict protocol our team follows to disinfect, sanitize, and reconfigure our treatment space between every single client, especially when moving between services like Permanent Makeup (PMU) and Lash Lifts. Your safety is our absolute priority, and this process is the foundation of that promise. It’s more than just wiping a surface. It’s a comprehensive reset that treats every new appointment as if it’s the first of the day.
1. The Critical Why: Service-Specific Sterility
Permanent Makeup is a cosmetic tattoo procedure that breaks the skin's barrier. It requires a surgical-level sterile field to prevent infection and cross-contamination. Lash Lifts and tints, while non-invasive, involve potent chemical solutions applied near the delicate eye area. The tools, products, and potential contaminants for each service are entirely different. Mixing them is not an option.
Our room reset protocol is designed to create a definitive separation. This ensures that no pigment, chemical residue, or microbial contaminant from one service type is ever present during another. For our clients in Duluth, Suwanee, Buford, Lawrenceville, Atlanta, and Johns Creek, this means you can book a brow touch-up and a lash lift on the same day with complete confidence, knowing the space is treated as two distinct clinical environments.
CLIENT SAFETY: We never double-book our PMU artist, Justina. Your appointment is her sole focus, and the room reset happens during the dedicated time between clients. There is no rush, only protocol.
2. Phase One: The Complete Breakdown and Removal
The reset begins the moment you leave the room. Our first step is to remove every single item that is not a fixed part of the room.
Disposal of Single-Use Items
All single-use items are immediately gathered and placed into a sealed medical-grade biohazard waste bin. This includes:
- PMU Procedure: Pigment cups, microblading blades, nano needles, barrier films, cotton swabs, and gauze.
- Lash Procedure: Under-eye pads, mascara wands, lash glue applicators, and lint-free papers.
Isolation of Reusable Tools
Any reusable, non-disposable tools (like lash lift rods or certain tweezers) are placed into a sealed, labeled container marked "DIRTY" and taken directly to our separate sterilization room. They do not get cleaned in the treatment room. This prevents aerosolized contaminants from settling during cleaning.
Stripping the Bed and Surfaces
We remove all linens, including the bed cover, headrest paper, and any blankets. Every surface the previous client or their materials touched is cleared.
3. Phase Two: The Three-Step Sanitization Process
With the room stripped, we begin our detailed cleaning, which follows a hospital-grade sequence.
Step 1: Clean
We use an EPA-registered detergent to physically remove all visible dirt, debris, and residue from every surface: the treatment bed, stool, carts, countertops, drawer handles, and light switches. This step is crucial as disinfectants cannot work effectively on dirty surfaces.
Step 2: Disinfect
Next, we apply a broad-spectrum, intermediate-level disinfectant proven effective against viruses, bacteria, and fungi (like Tuberculocidal agents). We follow the manufacturer's mandated "dwell time," allowing the solution to sit wet on the surface for the full required minutes to kill pathogens. We ensure full coverage on all high-touch areas.
Step 3: Barrier
Once surfaces are dry, we create new physical barriers. We lay down a fresh, clean bed sheet, cover it with a disposable paper sheet, and place new headrest paper. We open new, sealed packages of any surface covers for our equipment carts and product trays.

4. Phase Three: Service-Specific Reconfiguration
This is where the room transforms. We bring in a completely fresh, sterilized toolkit and product set specific to your booked service.
For a PMU Appointment
We open a brand-new, sterile procedural tray. We set up individual pigment cups with fresh pigment from a sealed bottle. Our PMU machine and handpieces have been sterilized in an autoclave (a medical-grade steam sterilizer) and are brought in sealed pouches, which we open in front of you. The room is configured for precision and minimal movement.
For a Lash Lift & Tint Appointment
We bring in a fresh lash kit with new, disposable rods, perming solutions, and tint. Our tweezers have been sanitized with high-level disinfectant. The setup focuses on comfort and accessibility for the delicate eye area work. You can learn more about our lash services on our Services page.

Before we invite you in, we do a final visual audit. Is every surface clean and dry? Are all barriers fresh? Is the correct, sealed toolkit present? Only when our checklist is complete do we reset the clock and welcome you into your sterile, dedicated space.
