I started writing this page the same way I start every consultation. By sitting down, taking a breath, and thinking about what I'd actually want a first-time client to know.
Most beauty blogs are written for search engines. They open with a definition, list five trends, and end with a generic "book today." I get it. It works. But it's also why almost everything you read about permanent makeup, Superjection, or lash lifts sounds the same. And why none of it really helps you decide.
This editorial is going to be different. I'm writing it for the person who's sitting on my appointment book six weeks from now, trying to figure out which technique is right for her skin, what the healing actually feels like, or whether the studio in Duluth is worth the drive from Suwanee.
What we'll cover
Three threads, mostly:
- Permanent makeup, told honestly. The difference between microblading, ombré, combination, and hairstroke brows, and how to tell which one your face is asking for. What the first week of healing actually looks like (not the filtered version). When a touch-up is worth it, and when it isn't.
- Superjection, demystified. I'm one of the few Pamesthetic-certified Superjection providers in the Atlanta metro, which means I get a lot of questions about what it actually does (and what it doesn't). I'll write about the difference between the Black and White protocols, who each one is for, and why it's not the same as filler or PRP.
- Lash lift, the Korean way. Why the keratin and silicone-shield approach we use in the studio is gentler than the chemical-relaxer method most US salons run. How to extend a lift past the usual six weeks. What aftercare actually matters.
Sometimes I'll write about academy life too. What it's like to train someone one-on-one, the most common mistake new artists make in their first 50 procedures, why I cap class size at one person.
What I won't do
I'm not going to push you toward the most expensive service. I'm not going to write about trends that won't be relevant in two years. I'm not going to invent urgency.
If something I write makes you want to come in, that's wonderful. If it makes you decide not to book (because the technique isn't right for your skin, or you're not in the right life moment for it), that's also wonderful. The goal of the editorial is to help you decide, not to convert you.
How to read along
Most posts will run 5 to 10 minutes. Korean and English versions are written separately (not translated), so the Korean reading isn't a stiff mirror of the English. It's its own writing. Use the language toggle at the top right to switch.

이 에디토리얼은 다르게 쓰려고 합니다. 지금부터 6주 뒤에 예약 캘린더에 이름이 올라올 손님, 본인 피부에 어떤 시술이 맞을지, 회복 기간이 실제로 어떤지, 수와니에서 둘루스 스튜디오까지 갈 만한 가치가 있는지 고민하고 계신 분, 그 분을 위해 쓰는 글이에요.
어떤 이야기를 다루나요
크게 세 가지 흐름입니다.
- 반영구 메이크업, 솔직하게. 마이크로블레이딩, 옴브레, 콤보, 헤어스트로크. 차이가 무엇이고, 본인 얼굴이 어떤 기법을 원하는지 어떻게 알 수 있는지. 회복 첫 주가 정말 어떤 모습인지(필터 없이). 리터치가 필요한 경우와 필요 없는 경우.
- 슈퍼젝션, 제대로 풀어드리기. 아우라는 애틀랜타 메트로에서 몇 안 되는 파메스테틱 공식 인증 슈퍼젝션 시술자입니다. 그러다 보니 슈퍼젝션이 정확히 무엇이고, 무엇이 아닌지에 대한 질문을 많이 받습니다. 블랙과 화이트 프로토콜의 차이, 각자 어떤 분께 적합한지, 그리고 왜 필러나 PRP와는 완전히 다른지 정리해드릴게요.
- 속눈썹펌, 한국식으로. 스튜디오에서 쓰는 케라틴과 실리콘 쉴드 방식이 미국 살롱들의 화학 약물 방식보다 왜 더 안전한지. 일반적으로 6주 이상 유지시키는 방법. 진짜로 중요한 관리법.
가끔은 아카데미 이야기도 쓸 거예요. 1:1 수강이 어떤 모습인지, 처음 50번 시술 안에서 새내기 아티스트가 가장 많이 하는 실수, 왜 수강 인원을 한 분으로 제한하는지 같은 이야기들.
하지 않을 것들
가장 비싼 시술을 권하는 글은 쓰지 않습니다. 2년 뒤에는 의미가 없을 트렌드도 쓰지 않습니다. 인위적인 긴급함도 만들지 않습니다.
글을 읽고 한번 와보고 싶다는 마음이 드시면 정말 기쁩니다. 글을 읽고 오지 않기로 결정하셨다면 (본인 피부에 그 기법이 맞지 않거나, 지금 시기가 아니라는 판단이 드셨다면) 그것도 똑같이 기쁩니다. 이 에디토리얼의 목표는 결정을 도와드리는 것이지, 예약을 받아내는 것이 아니니까요.
